Black Lab Games and Slitherine have announced turn based strategy Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will arrive on consoles from December 2.
Taking place in the Warhammer 40K universe, the game originally launched for PC back in July of this year. You’ll be embarking upon a massive singleplayer campaign that explores the aftermath of the Devastation of Baal. You’ll pick your forces, develop an army and send mighty hero units into battle.
There’ll be iconic units like the Sanguinary Priest, the Librarian Dreadnought, the Hive Tyrant and plenty of others from the tabletop game. There’s a whopping 60 abilities and 50 weapons with which to customise your armies with too. Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector also features a momentum system that can give units the power to become Surged. When they do, these units can string together multiple actions in one turn, or upgrade their existing abilities further.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector also features a skirmish mode, letting you take control of the Blood Angels or the Tyranids if you fancy some battles away from the Campaign. There’s also new factions, modes and maps to come in the form of DLC. Two of these will launch with the game, including the Blood Angels Elite DLC and the Tyranid Elites DLC. Further Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector DLC is promised in the new year.
Of course, the console versions of have been fully adapted for playing on controller. Expect a brand new control scheme and full trophy and achievement support too. The game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass on both Console and PC right from the day it launches.
