Halo Infinite studio promises Battle Pass progression changes later this week

343 Industries look set to address fan complaints about the Battle Pass progression in the recently released Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta.

In a Twitter thread, the studio’s community manager John Junyszek outlined some “targeted tunings” the studio intend to make. First off will be the addition of ‘Play 1 Game’ challenges that will allow those who can only play a short number of games an equal chance at progressing through the Pass.

In addition, the studio has pledged to adjust, fix bugs and removing some of these challenges based on user feedback. Hopefully, these changes will allow players to unlock rewards faster. Junysek warns progress on challenges will need to be reset. However, everyone who logs in between November 23 – 30 will now get the Sigil Mark VII Visor for free to make up for that. Finally, 343 say that they’ll be doubling the duration of double XP boosts to an hour.

343 Industries surprise-launched the Halo Infinite multiplayer as a ‘beta’ earlier this week. Though it’s seemingly been very successful, many players reported frustrations with the Battle Pass system. Though there’s  over 100 unlockable items in the first season, many say progression is incredibly slow, only offering points for completing specific challenges.

The studio says it’ll be watching the changes closely to ensure they’re having the intended effect. “This is only our first step – we are committed to continue evolving these systems but it will take time. Thanks for joining our beta, and keep the feedback coming!”

Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Meanwhile, the game’s single-player Campaign will arrive on December 8.
